CONFERENCE COSTS

$210 Rate for attendees who do not wish to participate in the field trip:
This rate includes travel from the airport to CATIE, where the conference will take place, registration, participation in the conference sessions, all meals in Turrialba, proceedings and travel from CATIE to the airport.

$250 Rate for attendees who participate in the field trip:
This rate includes travel from the airport to CATIE, where the conference will take place, registration, participation in the conference sessions, all meals in Turrialba, field trip, proceedings and travel from CATIE to the airport.

HOTELS
he Organizing Committee will make your hotel reservations if you indicate your preference before October 1st. You may pay the hotel when you check out.

Assistance will also be offered in making reservations in San José at the Hampton Inn & Suites for the night of Thursday November 3rd / located 5 minutes from the Airport – shuttle to the Airport available 24 hours, without schedule: $81.00 (tax and breakfast included / corporative price when making your reservation through the Organizing Committee)

Housing at CATIE. CATIE offers a hotel and one-bedroom apartments. The nightly rate is US$35.00 or US$50.00, depending on your preference. Web: www.catie.ac.cr/alojamiento

Hotel Casa Turire. This is a small luxury hotel located 10 minutes from CATIE. It is situated in a beautiful sugarcane field. The nightly rate is US$82.00, which includes breakfast. Web: www.tourtech.net/wp_turire.html

Guayabo Lodge. This is a choice bed and breakfast country hotel located 30 minutes from CATIE. It is situated on the side of the picturesque Turrialba Volcano. The nightly rate is US$46.50, which includes breakfast. Web: www.guayabolodge.com

Casa Florencia. This small hotel, located 10 minutes from CATIE, is in a lush green area. The nightly rate is US$60.00.

CATIE will provide transportation free-of-charge from the airport to CATIE and vice versa.
